FX80
The most distinctive feature of the FX series is the coaxially built-in tweeter, which is a dome tweeter. The modern design of the 2-way active monitor was calculated by a computer in order to optimize the radiation behavior of the FX80.
Coax driver
In the middle of the 8 "woofer there is a 1.2" silk dome tweeter. The construction, which is unique in this price segment, generates a point source of sound - due to its principle, without disruptive phase deviations or overlapping of the individual chassis. The frequency response of the FX80 ranges from 35 Hz to 22 kHz
DIP switch for interface compensation
In many (home) studios the space is rather tight, which can have a negative effect on the acoustics. The FX80 is therefore equipped with EQ switches, with which you can get a grip on the influence of acoustically rather difficult rooms as well as the resonances of a wall directly behind the speakers. On the back, users will find important information about the function of the DIP switches; their function is described in detail in the operating instructions.
Class D and DSP controlled
The “Class D” power amplifier of the FX80 always delivers cleaner and constant power and sufficient headroom. The integrated high-performance DSP takes care of the digitally controlled crossover, which results in an extremely consistent sound reproduction. The reference monitors of the FX series are the perfect solution for demanding home and professional recording studios.
LED display on the front baffle
The diode on the front panel not only provides information about the on / off / bypass status of the FX monitor, but also helps with the precise alignment of the loudspeakers at ear level.
Front slot port structure
The bass reflex port ensures maximum bass efficiency of the speaker. The front-side arrangement not only provides a more direct radiation of the bass energy to the listener, but also allows a construction close to the wall, which makes the monitor much more flexible when it comes to the setup options in the Studio.
Optimized tweeter protection
The coaxial structure with the central suspension of the tweeter in front of the woofer makes the FX80 extremely robust. The woofer is therefore already provided with a "protective shield". But since the tweeter also has to be protected, it has a small perforated grill in front of the sensitive silk membrane.
Illustration and depth graduation
High-quality drivers in a solid housing form the basis for transparent reference monitors, but only extensive listening tests and a meticulously precise calibration of the crossover make this monitor a reliable work device with absolutely precise depth graduation - and therefore a real fluid audio box. A mix created on the FX80 will never disappoint on any other audio system.
