With the Creme RC, Tegeler takes this successful formula to the next level by combining two worlds — analog sound and digital control — into a perfect symbiosis. Thanks to motorized potentiometers, you’ll never have to recall your settings by hand again when revisiting a session. As soon as you open your project, the dedicated Creme RC plug-in ensures that all controls automatically move to the correct positions. Want to automate individual parameters in your arrangement? Even during mixing, the Creme gives you a sense of the mastered result through subtle boosts in highs and lows along with a few dB of compression. This helps you quickly find the right balance for all your elements — especially vocals. The order of EQ and compressor is switchable, making the Creme RC a highly flexible companion in both mixing and mastering.

The Compressor

Whether you want to gently and transparently thicken your track or hit it hard and add rhythmic punch — the Creme RC’s VCA compressor handles it all with ease.

Its powerful and distinctive character can lift any mix to the next level. The compression is highly musical, always preserving clarity and transparency, allowing each instrument to settle into its place. The common loss of high-end during compression? Nowhere to be found. In fact, the signal sounds brighter, almost as if it’s been enhanced by an exciter.

The low end is tight and cohesive, the lower mids are fuller without muddiness, and the entire midrange is more articulated and clean. The stereo image gains space and precision.

The switchable side-chain high-pass filter ensures that even heavy bass won’t cause pumping when you don’t want it. In addition to the classic 60Hz and 120Hz filters, there’s now a 200Hz option in the side-chain.

Cream Mode

The Creme RC’s compressor brings an extra cherry on top. For even punchier bass and fresher highs, Tegeler has applied knowledge gained from the Schwerkraftmaschine and worked with Berlin-based artists to create the Cream Mode.

In addition to the traditional Auto mode, Cream Mode offers an alternative intelligent release setting. It responds faster and more aggressively, making it ideal for the demands of modern music genres.

The Equalizer

Passive equalizers, with their elaborate inductor and capacitor-based circuits, remain some of the most loved tools for bus processing.

The filter design of the original Pultec already made Tegeler’s Classic Equalizer a go-to sound machine. That’s why it was chosen again as the foundation for the Creme RC’s EQ — and carefully revised. Unnecessary knobs were replaced by fixed values, and frequencies that don’t make sense on the mix bus were disabled.

No other EQ type manages to sound good in nearly every setting. Smooth, silky highs that truly deserve the name. A bass boost that provides a tight foundation and drive without muddying the mix.

For even more flexibility, the Creme RC features significantly increased frequency selection steps.
