Why Tegeler does what they do.
Aren't we all in search of the perfect sound? Some spend nights tweaking their synthesizer. Others push their microphone into every conceivable position. Tegeler has always been fascinated by creating such a perfect sound from the raw signal of the microphone. The sound that, formed from the brutal raw reality, creates the feeling of what you really felt when recording; the unpolished sound of the microphone transferred into the reality of the heart.
Others may create the most neutral sounding devices, the best at hiding the noise of flowing electrons or building devices that offer the most controls. But Tegeler's phylosophy is never to make a device of good heart that does not change the sound for the better, giving it greater meaning.
Electronics is physics, but when it brings an artist's music a little closer to perfection, it becomes part of the art itself.
When you sit in a studio and hear how a good song, well mixed by a good sound engineer, is brought to perfection by one of your own devices, then you know what you are doing it for.
Tegeler's part in music comes from passion.
Tegeler's history
Tegeler Audio Manufaktur is first and foremost the developer Michael Krusch.
In his youth, he developed and built synthesizer modules as extensions for home computers and an analog drum computer.
After several years of working as a sound engineer, the “electronics virus” caught him again and he set about rebuilding classics.
But rebuilding alone was not enough for him. He expanded and developed new ones, always accompanied by extensive listening tests in his own recording studio.
Due to frequent requests from friends, studio colleagues and by email, he decided to make his skills available to others and founded Tegeler Audio Manufaktur.
The devices built by Tegeler are primarily intended to help sound engineers and musicians to realize their sound ideas. The main focus is on the sound characteristics and musicality. Especially in today's digital age, the need for high-quality studio hardware has been reawakened.
The company is based in Tegel in the north of Berlin.
In addition to the workshop and testing area, the developed devices are tested in the neighboring studio during everyday production.
The Tegeler Audio Manufaktur devices are manufactured by hand from high-quality components selected according to the respective requirements.
